Pickled red onions


Pickled red onions

2 red onions 
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup lime juice 
1/3 cup sugar 
1 T kosher salt 
2 cinnamon sticks 
1 t cloves 
2 T red pepper flakes 

Start boiling water 


Chop onions thin


Cover onions 20 seconds with boiling water then drain! Heat up spices. Add vinegar and lime and sugar and salt. 
Dissolve sugar and salt.


Pour brine over onions. Let sit at least 1 hour. 


Then eat!!
