Blueberry ginger jam



Blueberry ginger jam

6 # blueberries 
15 cups sugar in the raw 
14.3 ounces pectin
7.5 T lemon juice (1/2 cup)
1 t fresh nutmeg 
3 oz fresh grates ginger
1/4 cup homemade bourbon vanilla


My first time canning!!! 

Clean jars with soap 

Bring h2O to 180 degrees 

Submerge jars and kids in 180 degree water

Fill jars with 1/4 inch head space

Boil jars 10 minutes Rollin boil 

Remove and space 1-2" apart on towel 

Check lids they should not push down 

2 month life opened in fridge
1 year unopened not in fridge
